New Home Inspiration - The Project Lifestyle

As you may have seen in a couple of my previous posts, we’ve just moved home into a brand new flat; starting from scratch with white walls and a blank canvas, perfect for an interior design / home series.

In the build up to the move as we’ve been scouring the internet for ideas and inspiration, I’ve come across several websites and blogs which I’ve found really useful when planning out what look we’re going for in our new flat, so I thought I’d share the inspiration journey.

From my last post you’ll have seen that I’m an avid pinner on Pinterest – so that of course had to be my number 1 source of inspiration, but recently I came across the at{mine} community and instantly fell in love.

About at{mine}

So at{mine} is a community of people passionate about sharing the interiors of their homes, from the little details and accessories to whole rooms. People can post images of each of the different rooms in their house as well as following others for casual browsing or gaining inspiration. I really enjoy looking through different member’s individual styles and feeling inspired at creative decorating techniques and accessory styling. It’s a great place to go for ideas!

The site itself is super easy to use and has a great simple, clean-cut design. It’s really easy to spend ages flicking through images and picturing yourself in different people’s homes! Interested in reading about interiors? at{mine} also has a blog which you can read here.

Now I’ve linked to my at{mine} profile here at{Rachel Heslop}, but just a warning that unlike on my Pinterest, I’m yet to fill my profile with any of my own images… However, I’ll be sure to get posting as soon as we’re into our new flat and as the transformation process begins. I already have lots of ideas (from big picture to the small details) so be sure to keep an eye out. I’m super excited to see how I can use at{mine} for my own interior journey.

From the at {mine} website I also came across ‘Styling the Seasons’, which I’m sure I’ll be joining in with one day in the future as I love the concept. ‘Styling the Seasons’ is a monthly project where people across a range of blogs and on social media create a styled surface in their homes to reflect what that month (or season) means to them. It was thought out by Katy Orme of Apartment Apothecary and Charlotte Smith of Lotts and Lots and I can’t wait to join in!

I hope you feel equally inspired by the at{mine} community. Be sure to keep an eye out for future home posts as I share more of the inspiration behind our new home!

    A great post about what is also one of my favourite new discoveries as well! I was up too late last night starting my profile for my site and blog TheMakerPlace.co.uk so it’s a brave new world. You are right that there is so much to browse through though. I’m also going to have a go at joining in with Styling the Seasons as it does look great ?

    Another new website for me to join… I’m not going to have any free time left at this rate!

    It’s a shame you’re not really free to paint/wallpaper the walls in your new flat to make it even more personal to you. But then I suppose that would require a whoooollleee new Pinterest board… 😉
