With the weeks of wintery weather seeming to stretch on and on this year, the first signs of spring could not be more appreciated.
This week on my wanderings between client meetings, I spotted many hints of the new season; fresh buds on the trees, daffodils in the churchyard, the first openings of pretty pink blossom and moments of blue sky.
Spring is one of my favourite times of the year, with the emergence of pastel colours, fresh flowers, baby animals and warmer, longer days. Somehow the air seems fresher and that extra vitamin-D seems to give people a fresh boost of energy after the long winter nights.
A highlight of the spring season is, of course, Easter, which as a Christian holds a special place in my heart and is always a time to both reflect and celebrate. Although Easter isn’t really about the eggs, eggs are a representation of both new life and the empty tomb, serving as a reminder of what Easter really is all about.
Each year it is a joy to be able to celebrate Easter over a long weekend. Whether it’s gathering together with family and friends to share a roast leg of lamb, an Easter-egg hunt, picking fresh daffodils in my Grandad’s garden or simply catching up with family over a few days away, it’s a great opportunity to take some much-needed rest.
This Easter, Pete and I are heading to Cornwall with Pete’s family for a week of cream teas, visits to the beach, rest, relaxation and plenty of food and drink. We are already dreaming ahead to gathering around the table to enjoy some Easter treats, and one way to make this Easter that extra bit special is with the lovely sweet treats that are Biscuiteers hand-iced Easter biscuits.
Living in the day and age where it is always acceptable to Instagram your food, Biscuiteers provide beautiful biscuit gifts that are simply too pretty not to snap!
Biscuiteers company was founded back in 2007 by Harriet Hastings and Stevie Congdon who were passionate about creating a biscuit gifting service like no other. Today, the Biscuiteers collection is expansive with collections for all occasions and themes; weddings, travel, birthdays, Christmas, baby showers and more.
I’ve been an avid admirer of the Biscuiteers brand for over a year now, always being amazed and in awe of the beautiful biscuit collections cropping up on their Instagram so was delighted when Biscuiteers contacted me to see if they could send me one of their beautiful Easter tins for our Easter celebrations.
Master bakers of luxury biscuits, Biscuiteers, make biscuits that taste as good as they look from their London based icing cafes. The biscuits are perfectly packaged for transport in the post (no crumbs to be seen) and come in a lovely tin, which can be kept to store future sweet treats or small items – perhaps a button box for the sewers out there.
The perfect accompaniment to an afternoon cup of tea, these Easter biscuits were full of buttery, chocolatey flavour, much like a rich chocolate shortbread. Each biscuit is hand-iced with a generous amount of sweet, crunchy icing applied in an intricate design. These egg biscuits reminded me of the intricate detail seen on the world-famous treasures, Fabergé eggs.
Each biscuit is almost its own work of art, seemingly too beautiful to eat and making the perfect detail for the Easter table. Pair the biscuits with pretty plates, pastel teacups and fresh spring blooms for an Easter afternoon of memories.
Gather your friends, family and loved ones – these biscuits are definitely for sharing. Check out the Biscuiteers website to see their beautiful Easter gift collections that make a beautiful addition to anyone’s spring table!
Biscuiteers are the perfect bespoke gift company for that special someone or for a special occasion. They are definitely a firm favourite on my list of gifts that can be sent in the post to loved ones far away and made for a beautiful spring afternoon tea.
The Easter collection of biscuits was kindly sent to us from Biscuiteers as a gift. All photographs and opinions are my own.
