Fancy a cup of tea and a slice of cake? Or maybe you want to treat yourself to a scrummy breakfast or a fancy lunch. If you’re in Southampton, you’re hungry and you want a lovely little tea room to visit and treat a friend to a coffee/lunch/brunch date, then Halladay’s Tearooms is the place for you.
A hidden gem in Bedford place, Halladay’s is the perfect place to get a bite to eat. Decorated with shabby chic signs, pretty flowers, cute cushions and candles, the tea room is homely and welcoming.
And the menu… well that’s something else! Every time I’ve been to Halladay’s I’ve been super spoilt for choice at what to have and never once have I been disappointed.
For breakfast you’re spoilt for choice with options including pancakes, waffles, a bowl of fruit, poached eggs with salmon or avocado, or the classic Halladay’s breakfast (which is epic!).
The lunch menu is equally spectacular including the likes of paninis, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Everything is beautifully presented on gorgeous plates or slates and portions are very generous (so go on an empty stomach!).
Lastly, cake! A favourite of not just Marie Antoinette, but also myself. Afternoon tea, scones and jam or a large slice of raspberry/lemon cake Halladay’s always excels. They also have a super selection of drinks to accompany your sweet treat.
One of my favourite things about Halladay’s is that they serve TeaPigs tea, which happens to have an amazing range of unusual flavours, all of which I’ve enjoyed so far – Why not try the rhubarb and ginger?
The little homely touches and thoughtful food presentations makes Halladay’s one of my favourite places to visit in Southampton. I’d recommend you try it too, it’s very instagramable!
Oh Halladay’s, I love you too!
