Experience a hotel like no other. Tailored to the 21st century tech-savvy, design-loving generation, Tribe Perth combines affordable luxury with boutique chic in the metropolitan capital of Western Australia.
Making it onto Time Australia’s Top 100 Greatest Places 2018, Tribe Perth is sleek and simple. The hotel lobby offers open-plan seating, collaborative workspace, sumptuous (velvet) sofas, relaxing armchairs, decorated bookshelves and communal tables to enjoy with co-workers, friends or new acquaintances.
Land on the hotel website and enjoy their straight-talking, easy-going and friendly style. Much like chatting to an old friend, the relatable language showcases that Tribe knows what you need and has your back. Their flexible, minimal approach to the hotel is unlike any other place I’ve stayed and somehow it really works.
Whizz up the hotel floors in the dark mirrored elevator to your room and step into light and bright hotel chic. Bold colours, statement furniture, quirky accents and accessories and a check-list of amenities to carry you through your stay. Enjoy the unique nature of the hotel with highlights such as the unique, hoody-style Tribe at home robe or the Kevin Murphy toiletries, which bring a pop of pastel pinks!
While the rooms aren’t particularly big, they’ve been creatively designed for comfort, with everything neatly tucked away in its place. Little details from award-winning designer Travis Walton Architects are unexpected and exciting to uncover; functionality with a unique flavour. Compact, yet comfortable.
The expansive windows bring outdoors in, allowing you to enjoy natural sunlight, changing skies and the vibrant colours of the city (or the park, depending on the room you opt for). Lie back from the flurry of activity down below and watch one of the free movies included in all rooms, or enjoy a page-turner without the stress of having to apply sun cream to enjoy the sun.
Breakfast is a simple continental spread with a choice of eggs. Perfect to grab and go or to sit and graze. We found the lounge and dining areas always alive with activity. People talking business, having meetings, sharing life or reading up on Perth before adventuring into the city.
The hotel is perfectly located within a few minute Uber ride of the city or a bike ride to the stunning views and expansive greenery of King’s Park (possibly my favourite inter-city park in the whole world). What’s more, you can cycle to King’s Park yourself utilising free hire of Tribe’s picture-perfect bicycles that come with a basket ready to hold all of your picnicking needs.
Tribe Perth combines location, affordability, compact comfort, sleek design, innovative function and community to create a great base for exploration, business or relaxation.
Our stay at Tribe Perth was kindly gifted by the hotel in exchange for this review. Images and opinions are my own.
