It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Fiona Humberstone, also known as The Brand Stylist. With Fiona’s first book, How to Style Your Brand, often picked up and flicked through almost permanently sat on our office coffee table, I had to get my hands on a copy of the new Brand Brilliance. Having followed the journey of Brand Brilliance over on Fiona’s Instagram and blog, I eagerly anticipated the book launch, so much so that I had to pre-order the book directly from The Brand Stylist website so that I could get my hands on one of the limited edition gift boxes.
The luxury gift box delivery of Brand Brilliance came in a beautiful monogrammed, limited edition box, perfectly wrapped in stylish, branded wrapping paper. Inside the gift box was not only the beautiful new book but some luxury little extras that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to receive mail.
Carefully unfolding the outer wrapping and lifting the box lid I lifted out the beautiful array of products, all perfectly packaged: A signed copy of Brand Brilliance, a lovely 36pp Brand Stylist Sketchbook, The Absolute Essentials of Colour Psychology, and a printed Brand Clarity Workbook.
I love the detail that has been put into the gift box, from the numbered limited edition label, through the luxury texture of the box itself and the fine details of tissue paper, marbled wrapping, the simplistic statement postcard, the gorgeous embossing, and the personalisation of Fiona’s own handwritten message in her beautiful writing! All the elements added together sing elegance and luxury and make for such an exciting package to receive.
So once I’d delicately unwrapped and photographed the box, it was time to get stuck into the book itself! Brand Brilliance: Elevate your brand, enchant your audience, what’s it all about? Fiona’s second book is all about helping to define what makes your business shine and details how to shape your brand to reflect you.
As I’ve just branched out from having the standard 9-5 job, to running a company for myself, I’ve found Fiona’s tips on running a business your own way apt and relevant for the phase I’m currently in. So far I’ve already found the book to be really helpful in helping me understand how to effectively communicate my value to my audience, alongside providing me with clarity when producing key marketing strategy going forward.
The Brand Clarity Workbook has also been super useful in asking the real-life questions that get you thinking as to what your business is all about; taking you from the big picture ideas, down to how these foundations should shape the smaller details that carry through everything that you do.
I’m sure that just as with How to Style Your Brand, this book will be a firm go-to resource for motivation and ideas. As well as just a place to go to enjoy the inspiring imagery.
Next, I’m preparing to read the chapter titled Absolute Essentials for Modern Marketers, which I’m really excited about! Definitely my cup of tea. But first I just wanted to say thank you to Fiona for her amazing work, which continues to inspire. If you haven’t already, check out her blog or think about buying the book – for me it’s a real page-turner of ideas and creativity!
